USEFUL INFORMATIONS

PDF writing aid > Adobe Illustrator

1. GENERAL WINDOW

Set the “Adobe PDF Preset” tab to the factory setting “[Press Quality]”.

2. GENERAL WINDOW

Set the “Compatibility” tab to “Acrobat 4 (PDF 1.3)”. Please un-tick “Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities” box; if this box is ticked the files cannot be edited (or will be difficult to edit) in the Illustrator; do not overwrite the original material you are working in!

3. COMPRESSION WINDOW

If the below settings are visible to you, do not make any changes to this window.

4. MARKS AND BLEEDS WINDOW

Please set the areas marked with red accordingly to the settings indicated on the picture; if you use a 5 mm bleed, please set “Offset” and “Bleed Limit” to 5 mm!

5. OUTPUT WINDOW

Set “Colour Conversion” to “No Conversion”; this setting assumes that during editing all inserted pictures and charts are in CMYK mode, and/or the colours are generated as CMYK colours.

6. ADVANCED WINDOW

Set “Transparency Flattener” to “[High Resolution]”.

Do not make any changes to the "Security" and "Summary" windows.
